What makes Kneaded Bakery and Catering different?

Our mission!  When you choose Kneaded for baked good and your catering needs, you are providing our Apprentices with the opportunity to learn hands-on skills in bakery and food production, catering and customer service. We employ vulnerable and disenfranchised youth and young adults, providing them with the training and support they need to be safe, successful contributing members of our community. 100% of proceeds of sales are re-invested into Kneaded and the Culinary Academy. Behind each baked good and meal we put together is a deep commitment to supporting our youth and giving back to our community.

Thank you for helping us to reach our mission of “bettering lives, one pastry and catering at a time.”

The Kneaded Culinary Academy

Rebekah Children’s Services is committed to seeing our community flourish by building pathways to hope, happiness, and well-being.  In 2009, we expanded our continuum of services with the creation of the Kneaded Culinary Academy, a no-cost culinary arts vocational training program for youth and young adults in Santa Clara County.  The Culinary Academy provides vulnerable, challenged youth and young adults an opportunity to learn culinary skills, earn high school credits, develop employability skills, secure paid internships, and access job placement support for paid positions in the food service and hospitality industry.  Our team provides individualized support to each student, and creates a supportive, safe, and dynamic learning environment. Students form connected relationships with mentors and resources; and are encouraged to establish bold, yet achievable goals. Students become more resilient and confident in their ability to pursue continued education or meaningful employment. Since 2009, over 1500 youth and young adults have graduated from the Culinary Academy.
